The LG Twins’ regular season win, which was confirmed on the 3rd, is the first in 29 years since 1994. The match on this day drew a full crowd due to the interest of fans. The number of spectators who visited Jamsil Stadium was 23,750, setting a new record for the largest number of spectators for a home game in a single season since the 10-team system began.

With the LG Twins’ victory on this day, the KBO League reached 8 million spectators for the first time in five years since 2018. A total of 7,984,592 people were recorded as of the previous day (14th), and 8,036,043 people on this day. This is the fourth time since the KBO League was launched in 1982 that the number of spectators exceeded 8 million, following 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Coach Yeom Kyeong-yeop said, “There were many twists and turns and difficulties during the season. Thanks to your passionate support, the team overcame the difficulties and won the championship. Thank you very much.” He added, “I will repay the support of my fans by winning the Korean Series.”

Captain Oh Ji-hwan declared, “The front office and the entire team worked really hard and finished the regular season on a good note. From now on, we will go into war mode. We will cry happily after we achieve 4 wins and a combined championship.”

After winning the game that day, the LG Twins held a ceremony to hand over the championship trophy and enter the Korean Series. LG Twins CEO Kim In-seok, general manager Cha Myeong-seok, coach Yeom Kyung-yeop, captain Oh Ji-hwan and team players stood on the ground and shared their joy with the trophy.

It is reported that LG will undergo maintenance for approximately three weeks until Game 1 of the Korean Series opens on November 7th.
