Five KIA players, including pitchers Kwak Do-gyu, Kim Ki-hoon, Kim Hyun-soo, and Hong Won-bin, and infielder Park Min, will return after playing 40 ABL games from November 17 to January 21 of next year.

KIA explained that general manager Shim Jae-hak met with Canberra Cavalry club owner in person last September and agreed to send a team.

KIA general manager Shim Jae-hak said, “We decided to send the ABL to give players who need practical experience due to military service and those who lack first-team stage experience a chance to play,” and added, “We expect our players to improve their skills against high-quality foreign players. “I do it,” he said.

The KIA club plans to seek regular ABL dispatch to develop players.

KIA will conduct high-intensity finishing training with 28 players participating at Gin Stadium in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan from November 1st to 28th.
